In this tantalizing collection, four New York Times bestselling authors invite you into the alluring worlds they've created in the Demonica, Guardians of Eternity, Nightwalkers, and Dragon Kin series. Each mesmerizing page will leave you craving more. . .

"Vampire Fight Club" by Larissa Ione
When a wave of violence forces shapeshifter Vladlena to go undercover, her first stop is a haven of vice - with a dangerously sexy vamp in charge. Both Vladlena and Nathan are hiding something, but they can't conceal the lust that simmers between them . . .

Vladlena knows she has not much longer to live if she cannot change shape before her next birthday. So when her beloved brother’s body is found, she is determined to find his killer and take her revenge on him. Fortunately for her, her new boss and vampire Nathan takes an interest in her, and he saves her in time.

I really enjoyed this story in Larissa Ione’s Demonica series. I am now determined to read more books in this series.

8 stars.

"Darkness Eternal" by Alexandra Ivy
After being held captive by one vampire for four centuries, Kata had no intention of taking another one to the underworld with her. Yet even in the pits of hell, there's no ignoring the intoxicating desire awakened by his touch. . .

I still haven’t read any books in Alexandra Ivy’s Guardians of Eternity series, although they have been gathering dust on my shelves for years now. I enjoyed this story a lot, it was certainly very different from everything else I have read. And now I really want to start reading this series.
I liked Kata, she is very feisty, and she has just escaped her prison when she is thrown into hell itself. She will have to work together with Uriel to get out again. But he has been send by his King to find her and rescue her, and as this King is her daughters husband, she has no choice.

8 stars.

"Kane" by Jacquelyn Frank
Kane knows Corrine was meant to be his. . . just as he knows that truly possessing the lovely human is forbidden. But on the night of the Samhain moon, the beast in every demon is stronger than reason, and Kane's hunger is more powerful than any punishment. . .

I do love the Nightwalkers series by Jacquelyn Frank, and this story is a bit tied together with the first one, Jacob.

When Kane touched Corrine, he changed her, awakening her dormant Druid genes. And ever since that first touch, she needs him to survive. But the Nightwalkers don’t know that yet, and Kane is imprisoned to keep him from going after her again on Samhain. When she is finally found, it is almost too late to safe her. And now Kane will have to convince her to stay close to him, at all times ....

9 stars.

"Dragon on Top" by G.A. Aiken
Escorting the highborn Bram through deadly Sand Dragon territory will try Ghleanna's patience. . . and her resolve. For Bram is determined to enhance the journey with a seduction no female could resist. .

I love Shelly Laurenston’s books, but I am not such a big fan of her G.A. Aiken alter ego. I think the characters are even more violent and abrasive, and it is just that one step over the line for me. Otherwise, the story is good and surprising and I really liked Bram. He was a quiet one until provoked too much.

7 stars.

All in all, a great anthology if you want to try out a few series before buying the first book (or the whole series as I am in the bad habit of doing). I only know and love 1 series already, but will certainly read two others. Of course it might take me another year to get to them, but I will read them. One day...
